Ayurveda
Christy is a certified Ayurvedic Health Counselor and a Clinical Ayurvedic Medicine Intern with the California Collage of Ayurveda. She works with students and clients in person at Wallingford Yoga and Ayurveda, in Seattle, WA, or online over Zoom.
Christy’s practice emerged out of a desire to help people heal – whether from an injury, a chronic health condition, or in finding balance amid the demands of daily life. She meets students where they are, offering tools to support healthy change. Often, just one simple recommendation at a time, and shifting that compass needle just a tiny bit, can offer significant positive shifts!

As we transition into Autumn and days grow shorter, what better time to care for yourself? In this workshop, we will explore fundamental principles of Ayurveda and some tools to support inner balance and well-being.
We will learn:
- About the 5 elements that make up all of nature, and how we are each a unique blend of these elements called a “constitution”.
- About some nourishing foods to support wellbeing during fall and early winter months, the season of “Vata” (and flu season!).
- A gentle practice for calming the nervous system.
- How to make a nourishing tea in our studio kitchen that supports healthy digestion and includes rose petals! Tea hour to follow.

In this workshop, we will explore:
- How different herbs and foods are incorporated in Ayurveda to support physical and emotional balance.
- A gentle grounding Yoga and Yoga Nidra practice for stress relief.

Take time for some self-care during the holiday season to experience the healing practices of Ayurveda. During our time together, we will:
- Learn a gentle self-massage you can do for yourself at home to support relaxation, healthy joints, and circulation. This “Self-Abhyanga” massage is one of the centerpieces of Ayurvedic care and is considered a secret for longevity!
- A short, gentle, home yoga practice you can do for yourself every day to center and find balance.
- Learn how to make a warm spiced “Golden Milk” with both cow and vegan milks to reduce inflammation and relax the nervous system.
Introductory Package
5 sessions (online or in-person): $320 [value $450]
As part of Christy’s final Ayurvedic Clinical Internship (through February 2026), she is currently offering 5-session packages at this big discount. She will be working with Supervisor and Ayurvedic Doctor, Melanie Macdonald!
What to expect:
1. First Session: We will do a thorough intake exploring long-term and short-term health and lifestyle patterns. Christy will also look at your tongue and, if in-person at her studio, she will take deep and superficial pulse readings.
2. Second Session: Based on information gathered in our first session, you will learn about your “prakruti” or natural constitution. You can think of this in part as relating to your genetic makeup that you were born with. We’ll also explore your “vikruti” or areas where you may be experiencing imbalance or health issues. A couple of initial recommendations will be offered to get you started towards balance, whether it be incorporating herbs, a simple shift in diet, or lifestyle. We work sustainably, one step at a time, progress over perfection.
3. Third – Fifth Sessions: We will do a check-in with diagnostic tools from the first intake session. Based on how you are feeling, how previous recommendations work for you, and your current interests, new recommendations will be offered. Often, clients find that regular support for the first few weeks and months can be very helpful as they establish new patterns.
